Finance Assistant Co-op

WHAT YOU'LL DO We are looking for a Finance Assistant to learn and contribute to the local Boston Finance team as part of the broader Northeast Finance team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

In this role you will work directly with the consulting staff and office leadership, providing ample executive presence and networking opportunities.

Co-ops are highly valued, fully contributing members of our team and receive significant responsibility and exposure to our customers.

Through a combination of valuable hands-on work experience, training, and mentoring, our co-ops experience rapid professional growth.

This role will support the function of the local Boston office business services team at BCG.

Our co-ops will gain exposure to and help support several high visibility topics across the team.

These include: * Assisting in revenue and capacity leakage analysis, lead meeting with staffing function to identify required adjustments and help facilitate corrections processing.

* Preparing weekly client project budget report emails and sending them to case team leadership * Assist in tracking timely invoicing and invoice payments to improve office AR DSO metrics * Liaison with our shared services team to complete timesheet & expense auditing and corrections for the office * Managing case lifecycles (opening codes, processing adjustments, issuing invoices, forecasting, etc.) * Assisting with various cost tracking and reporting analysis Expense reimbursements: airline reimbursements, IT expenses, in-lieu of travel auditing Miscellaneous expense tracking and re-coding * Assisting in Accounts Payable process, including employee reimbursements * Supporting ad-hoc finance projects and reporting Office billability models (note: billability = revenue / capacity) Office reporting enhancements and automation * Act as the first line of defense in the finance team inbox, answering basic finance related questions from office staff YOU'RE GOOD AT * Being a collaborative team player: Co-ops will work across full team and assist teammates with completing ad hoc deliverables in a timely manner * Implementing change: Develop and proactively evolve current processes in response to business needs help our team stay on the cutting edge * Staying organized: Our team touches many pieces of the business that will require co-ops to be flexible and efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Communicating effectively: Written and oral communication are key to success YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) * Enrollment in a BS/BA Business program (Finance and/or Accounting) * Prior work and/or co-op experience (a plus) * Demonstrated strong academic performance * Excellent interpersonal skills and have an ability to work both in a team and independently * A high level of organization and are incredibly detail-oriented * Willingness to take initiative on projects and a high level of resourcefulness * Strong MS Excel skills and proficiency in other MS Office, prior experience with Tableau a plus * The ability to work in fast paced environment * Current enrollment in an accredited college/university degree program.

Your college/university must have an existing co-op partnership with BCG's Global Services organization and recognize full-time employment as academic credit that will be part of your official transcript * Eligibility for the co-op program of your current college/university's academic department and you must be approved by the college/university to participate in the co-op program * The flexibility to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the minimum duration of the co-op cycle (January
