Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently reviewing applicants for a Senior Financial Analyst position for one of their clients. Conduct the development of forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, build long-range operating plans to support business initiatives, and drive world class strategic and financial planning methods, in this Senior Financial Analyst opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for operationilizing and cultivating data-driven planning processes and improving upon monthly and quarterly reporting. This Senior Financial Analyst position is a career-pivoting role in which you will contribute strategic input to the senior leadership of the company. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the coordination of various planning cycles (monthly outlooks, annual planning, and quarterly forecasts), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will supply revenues and expenses, variance analysis of bookings, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Quincy, Massachusetts area.

What you get to do every single day

– Make and supervise forecasting reports

– Cooperate with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization

– Interpret performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

– Permit effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

– Cooperate closely with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

– Govern weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

– Comprehend and clarify internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

– Cooperate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

– Provide monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

– Keep an eye on monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

Job Requirements:
– Strong presentation skills

– Very knowledgeable in financial reporting tools

– Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, MBA preferred

– Ad Hoc Financial Analysis experience desired

– Complex Financial Analysis experience preferred

– Demonstrated knowledge of Financial Forecast

– Financial Projections experience highly preferred

– Practical knowledge of financial planning

– Corporate Financial Planning experience

– Financial analysis experience highly desired

– Adeptness in Financial Analytics

– General familiarity with financial modeling

– Deep understanding of Complex Financial Models

– 3+ years’ experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required

– Talent for simplifying complex problems and building solutions
