Administrative Assistant

This is a Full-time position in Groveland, MA posted November 22, 2021.

Our esteemed client in Groveland, MA is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to help out around the office through the end of the year, and possibly into early Q1.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing the Selectmen’s meeting agenda and assembling materials for the bimonthly meeting
  • Maintaining the town website and updating the digital message board
  • Fielding inbound calls, answering questions, and transferring to the appropriate party
  • Scheduling room and field usage
  • Assisting with Selectmen’s licensing and permitting
  • Coordinating work to be performed by the Finance Director
  • Attendance at bi-weekly Selectmen’s meetings is required (see below for hours*)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma  
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work listed above
  • Possess excellent office & interpersonal skills
  • Enjoy working with the public
  • Tech savvy – comfortable using a PC
  • Proficiency with MS Office and other software programs
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion and tact is essential

Hours / Schedule (targeting approximately 12-16 hours/week):

  • Mondays: 4:30PM – 8:00PM; the Board of Selectman meet bi-weekly on Monday evenings and your attendance is required.  
  • Tuesday – Thursday between 8:00AM – 12:00PM or 12:00PM – 4:00PM
  • Fridays: 8:00AM – 12:00PM

Pay: 

  • $22 – $25/ hour based on experience ​​​​​
