Job description:
As Senior Client Service Representative
– Alternatives you will serve as a primary contact for alternative investment fund clients and provide timely and accurate resolution of client inquiries to ensure exceptional levels of client service are met.

You are responsible for leading the oversight and coordination of the books and records of hedge funds, private equity funds, private debt funds, real estate funds, and/or fund-of-funds.

As Senior Client Service Representative, you will work collaboratively but be expected to take initiative and be self-directed.

You will support funds with greater complexity, work on larger accounts, and will be responsible for guiding Client Service Representatives and provide training for newly hired, less experienced staff.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Reconcile transaction details and balances from the general ledger to third party supporting documentation including, underlying fund investment capital statements, private loan documents, prime brokerage statements, Markit WSO reporting, and client’s supplemental reporting.

Prepare and review monthly/ quarterly NAV packages and allocations for funds investing in equity, fixed income, fund-of-PE-funds, fund-of-hedge-funds, private debt, syndicated debt, private equity, real estate funds, OTC and various other financial instruments Provide support for the year-end audit, regulatory reporting, and tax preparation services Work closely with the BBH Alts financial reporting team during the quarterly and annual cycle Research and resolve daily cash and position breaks in a timely manner
– providing oversight where appropriate Ensure all capital activity is processed to accounting system and reconciles with TA activity Prepare and review investor capital call and distribution calculations Calculate management fees, performance-based incentive fees, and carried interest distributions Calculate and maintain offline expense budget accruals providing oversight where appropriate Ensure monthly/quarterly accruals are calculated correctly and journal entries are posted to general ledger accounts accordingly Ensure prices are properly updated monthly/quarterly working with appropriate teams Assist in training of junior staff on relevant job functions, policies, and procedures Work with Supervisor to ensure that all fund issues are being appropriately addressed Ensure critical issues are escalated to Supervisor Ensure accurate and timely distribution of client deliverables Serve as primary point of contact for client and support teams
Strong client service and relationship management skills.

BS/BA degree (finance or accounting related concentration preferred), and/or equivalent work experience.

2 to 3 years of industry experience Alternatives/Fund Accounting experience preferred Proficiency in MS Excel preferred
