Technical Support Engineer
9 month contract
Onsite in North Reading, MA
Overview:
Our high-profile client is seeking an IT Operations Technical Support Engineer for a 9 month contract assignment onsite in North Reading, MA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Building/configuring hardware (i.e. laptops, desktops, kindles)
- Resolving system access requests by providing proper access
- Procuring and stocking peripherals in vending machines
- Shipping equipment
- Maintaining equipment counts and asset management (i.e. receiving hardware, adding to system, and disposing of all packaging).
- Maintaining a clean workspace and ensuring all equipment is stored appropriately.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a help desk environment supporting more than 250 users in a team environment.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and escalations.
- Solid experience with Mac OS, Windows, Ubuntu.
- Ability to demonstrate ownership, superior customer service skills, communicate efficiently with your peers as well as the customer.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
- Project management experience a must.
- Must be able to lift 25lbs.
- Ability to work independently is a must.
Preferred skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- Knowledge of ITIL/Scrum methodology
- Experience supporting a manufacturing facility
- Experience with 3D CAD Design (SolidWorks) software is a plus
