RTX: Government Furnished Property Manager


This is a Full-time position in North Andover, MA posted January 3, 2021.

Whole Life Engineering (WLE)is made up of several disciplines whose main objective is to influence hardware and systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer and end user.

As a WLE GFP (Government Furnished Property) Manager for the Patriot Kuwait program, you’re responsible for planning and managing Government Furnished Property during contract start up, receipt of material, production support, Major End Item sell off and contract close out.

More specific responsibilities will include the following: Ensuring GFP included in the contract is understood and stated in program documentation such as the Integrated Master Schedule.

Interact with government contacts to monitor expected deliveries of GFP in accordance with Statement of Work requirements.

Notifying Receiving, Incoming Inspection and Property Administration of the anticipated of any GFP and identifying any special routing, inspection or documentation requirements.

Ensuring delivery of GFP to production facilities Monitoring budgeted hours and preparing quarterly Estimate at Completion reports.

Participating in weekly and monthly program reviews with submittal of GFP status reports Some travel may be required.

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.

Except in rare circumstances, only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance Required Skills: 6+ years’ experience in engineering, supply chain, logistics or manufacturing operations in a military or civilian environment.

At a Grade G09, 4+ years of experience in the aforementioned areas along with a relevant Master’s Degree may be considered for this job.

Experience with control and accountability of property in a government or civilian environment.

US Citizenship Desired Skills: Experience with Transportation, Government Property and Maintenance planning /execution on fielded assets.

Experience with radar systems, physical security systems and military communication shelters.

Familiarity with management of program support, subcontractor oversight and customer relationships.

Familiar with Earned Value Management systems Six Sigma Specialist (or higher) qualification Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across multiple Customer, Program and Functional organizations including preparing and conducting briefings Strong written and verbal presentation skills Proficient on Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word Existing DoD Secret clearance Required Education: Bachelor’s degree.

8+ years of relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
