Position Summary:
The MAT/MOUD Prescriber will be responsible for the provision of MAT/MOUD medication management services, for individuals diagnosed with substance use and other psychiatric disorders, through the Outpatient Emotional Health & Wellness Center. Responsibilities include provision of psychiatric evaluation and ongoing treatment of those referred. Will participate in case review as indicated and case consultation as necessary, as well as participation in the program’s quality assurance program.
Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
Education and Professional Experience:
· Registered/certified as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician’s Assistant or APRN in the state of Massachusetts required
· DEA license in good standing, as well as the ability and experience for MAT/MOUD prescribing
· Experience providing medical services in a substance use and/or behavioral health treatment setting or equivalent
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to speak and hear. They may sit for extended periods of time, stand, walk, and bend over. Occasionally may reach overhead. Employee must grasp, push, pull and move objects not exceeding 20 lbs. Vision abilities required by this job include visual inspection, visual perception, eye/hand coordination, ability to see and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids. Hear and understand speech at normal indoor and outdoor levels, and on the telephone.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment with typical office noise and other disruption or in a participant’s residence. Job requires occasional driving to programs to work with participants and staff.
