We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our pediatric practice in West Roxbury/Chestnut Hill at Atrius Health. This position is part-time 30 hours per week. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supporting Pediatrics provides direct patient care, meeting both psychological and physical needs of the patients and families. The LPN will practice to their full scope in accordance with the organizational policies and procedures at Atrius Health. The LPN will administer medications, nebulizer treatments, oxygen, and immunizations. The LPN will provide education on disease specific topics, medication administration, and will perform procedures in accordance with clinician orders and department/specialty/organizational policy and procedure. The LPN contributes to the quality and continuity of care of our patients all while fostering the best interest and well-being of our patients and their families. The LPN will identify situations requiring advanced clinical judgment and decision making and will escalate these issues to clinicians. EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Graduate of a state-approved school of practical nursing. Possess a current license to practice as a practical nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Will maintain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. EXPERIENCE Looking for a motivated individual with experience and a willingness to learn. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Accurate documentation that aligns with Atrius Health documentation policies. Demonstrates ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a rapidly changing environment while meeting the many demands of the position. Demonstrates excellence in practice, documentation, and cost effective care utilization. Maintain high patient satisfaction. Understands their role in the multidisciplinary team and the importance of their role as a team member. Prior authorization experience helpful. Fluent in basic computer skills. Electronic medical record experience helpful. EPIC or compatible system a plus.Pediatric experience preferred.
