At Better Life Partners, We provide what it takes to heal from addiction. Wherever. Whenever.

Better Life Partners has a specific mission—to help any underserved individual achieve a healthier life filled with belonging, love, and purpose. We do this by working alongside community-based organizations and delivering high-quality care directly to our members. We run a highly agile and mobile organization focused on innovating healthcare while staying true to our values.

Our Mental Health team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (currently licensed in MA) to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and to design and implement treatment plans for our members. If you thrive in a dynamic remote environment, have an affinity for working with people with dual diagnosis, and have worked in non-traditional settings such as prisons/jails, shelters or street outreach, this is the role for you!

In this role, you will interact with members and families, referral sources, field staff, and members of the local medical community. You will be a resource for members and community partners, guiding them on the path to recovery. You will work side by side with our licensed counselors, helping our members find their way. Your work is essential to the member and your constant feedback will be expected to help them have the best outcome possible. Your vital work will allow members to receive quality care in their communities and help make a better life within reach. Most of the care will be delivered via telemedicine, though we anticipate delivering in-person care in Western Massachusetts.

  • Participating in Better Life Partners and their community research and public health partners’ research and data collection efforts
  • Collaborating with community partners and Better Life Partners’ counselors on case management and care coordination efforts
  • Adhering to professional and ethical work standards
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state and local regulations
  • Attending and engaging in regular training and company meetings

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience in mental health practice or Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) outpatient program
  • MA license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP); multistate licensure in VT, NH and ME is desired
  • Experience with telemedicine and electronic medical records
  • Experience providing care in non-traditional settings such as prisons/jails, shelters, street outreach
  • Strong harm reduction focus, both as it applies to substance use and to providing mental health services to a vulnerable population
  • Excellent time management and strong attention to detail
  • Exceptionally strong work ethic
  • Team player with an “all hands on deck” attitude, organized/able to multitask
  • Ability and availability to provide in-person care should it be necessary
