Job Summary (Primary function)
The Principal Investigator, Pharmacology directs the in vitro and/or in vivo pharmacology activities for oncology drug discovery programs and is involved in the identification of novel targets. 

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities)
Identify and research potential new drug targets and present for consideration as new drug discovery programs.

Identify or develop appropriate model systems to answer key biological or pharmacological questions.

Work collaboratively across multiple functional groups within drug discovery and clinical development to achieve drug discovery goals.

Supervise and direct the activities of research associates.

Critically analyze complex data sets for novel interpretations.

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency)
Ph.D.

in Pharmacology, Cancer Biology/Genetics, Cellular Biology/Pharmacology, Immunology or related field.

Strong background in Cancer Biology/Immunology and comprehensive knowledge of oncogenic signaling pathways or immune oncology.

Post-doctoral experience in a relevant field.

Command of contemporary cancer biology and adeptness in all aspects of cell biology and physiology.  Demonstrate track record of utilizing this knowledge to independently design and execute a research strategy that answers pivotal questions about the novel targets or the compounds under evaluation is indispensable.

5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech experience.

Excellent communication skills and a solid publication record.
