The Impella connect technology suite is scaling to support more patients with this life saving technology – and we need your helpAbiomed has an immediate opportunity for a Software Development Engineer in Test to join the Impella Connect team to help design, implement and support a completely new Azure IoT Platform and algorithms platform.

This platform is in the medical regulated domain and encompasses (but not limited to) message ingestion, translation, AI processing, storage, and web viewing interface.

This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills, expertise and passion to raise Impella Connects already high-quality bar – even higher If you are eager to leverage your test development & automation skills, attention to detail, and passion for software quality to make a difference in patients’ lives, then this will be perfect for you.Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to and drive the test efforts and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle including requirements, software generation, release candidate verification, and production complaintsProvide guidance, review and analyze software requirements and features for validity and testabilityDesign, develop, improve and maintain scalable and robust test framework(s) for the entire technology stack including unit, load and integration testing.Design, Develop and Implement test automation platform encompassing our IoT platformCommunicate with stakeholders, leadership, and team members on the given state and status of the quality platform through reports and/or dashboardsUpdate required quality metric documentation (Jira, Jama) as needed to ensure the system documentation and system state are synchronizedAssist development by gathering initial performance information of daily builds.Regression analysis and testing to assess the impact of software changes.

Perform all other duties as assignedThe best candidates will be ‘software engineers’, who design test frameworks and develop quality, robust, and high performance code used in test automation.

We’re looking a software developer who solves problems efficiently, pragmatically and continually seeks information from all sources.Required ExperienceDemonstrated knowledge of testing strategies (e.G.

black/white box, boundary, security, performance, load, etc.)Test automation tools (e.G.

Selenium, Test Studio, Data Factory, Unity, CppUnit)Agile software development life cycle Cloud Based technologies (Azure preferred)Solid knowledge of at least two programming technologies (e.G., Python, C, C#, shell, groovy)Relational Database systems (e.G.

MS SQL, Oracle, MySql).Source control & build pipelines (e.G.

Jenkins, Git, Git lab, Azure DevOps)Experience using requirements/project management tools (e.G.
