WHAT YOU’LL DO
The candidate will have a hands-on role for all technical activities relating to BCG’s Financial Consolidation and Reporting function. This scope includes management of the existing Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) platform and the future SAP S/4 Hana platform, plus all associated integrations with on-prem/ SaaS products within BCG. Responsibilities will cover future system design and configuration changes, business rule and financial report development, data integration design, patching and system maintenance, as well as playing a critical role on future architecture design decisions. The candidate will provide operational support within an agile team, system enhancements following our two-week sprint process as well as perform all other related tasks, such as:

Support and maintain the HFM platform as a technical subject matter expert, including patching on at least a bi-annual basis on 3 environments (Dev, Test, Production)

Participate in the migration of consolidation and reporting capabilities from HFM to SAP S/4 Hana and transition support and maintenance activities to that new platform in 2024.

Lead team development tasks with road map activities and be a contributing participant during the decision-making process

Lead small and medium size projects as a technical subject matter expert. Be responsible for the full delivery of the solution including but not limited to architecting design, development and go live activities

Provide technical oversight during the monthly and annual financial close processes, and act as a primary point of contact for Global Accounting and Control

Assist with updates / maintenance of existing ETL process utilizing various tool such as ODI / FDMEE as well as updating SQL queries

Enhance and support automation activities utilizing existing technical capabilities and third party tools

Use industry standards to ensure code version controls are followed during object updates / code correction (business rules)

Work collaboratively with team in supporting the monthly Hierarchy update process

Assist and provide technical support on issues, to ensure proper root cause analysis and quick remediation

Provide third tier guidance and support to the team on Hyperion Financial Reports as well as be the technical subject matter expert on new report development

Support and assist Hyperion Smart View related issues

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- College degree and experience in the development and support of business applications in a commercial IT setting, or in consulting
- 3-5 years of IT/Financial Accounting experience, previous analytic or business analysis experience required
- 3- 5 years of combined experience with Hyperion Financial Management (11.1.2.4 or higher), Hyperion Financial Reports, SmartView and Hyperion Shared Services, or equivalent in the SAP S/4 Hana platform.
- 3- 5 years of experience supporting data integrations using FDMEE and ODI, building ODI data models and creating topology for various technologies, both inbound and outbound.
- Advanced experience with scripting languages, specifically Visual Basic (required), Python/Jython (preferred).
- Familiarity with Planning application design and development, including Oracle Essbase and Hyperion Planning (Essbase Cube design, maxL/mdx scripting etc) (preferred).
- Strong database background in Oracle, including advanced knowledge of PL/SQL, ODI
- Experience working with PBCS or EPBCS (preferred)
- Experience with EPMAutomate and batch scripting languages (preferred)
- Diverse experience in application tools, languages and frameworks
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA Public Cloud a plus
