The System Design & Architecture Directorate is the central focus for Mission Systems Integration activities within Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD). Are You Ready To Engineer a Safer World? The Air and Missile Defense Systems (AMDS) Department is looking for Systems Engineers with the technical expertise and engineering leadership skills to drive the design and development of world-class Air and Missile Defense Systems. The AMDS Department supports RMD by providing world class Weapon Systems Engineering. Domain Expertise includes Radar Systems, Effector Systems, Battle Management, Command and Control, Network Design, Battlespace Integration and Interoperability for Domestic and International customers.

A Systems Engineering Process Deployment Engineer is responsible for providing process guidance at the program level from inception through deployment. The Process Deployment Engineer interprets the organizational engineering process and communicates procedural updates to the program engineering team. Tasks include:

  • Generation and maintenance of program plans and work instructions
  • Collection and analysis of engineering performance metrics and assembly of program Tracking Books
  • Support of reviews and audits

The Process Deployment Engineer facilitates process and productivity improvement activities, provides process training, and serves as a liaison between the Systems Engineering Process Group and the program engineering team.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the field of engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience in requirements development and design of system level architecture.
  • Strong analytic, technical, and problem solving skills
  • This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Except in rare circumstances, only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.

Desired Skills:

  • Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in process engineering
  • Knowledge of radar systems
  • Previous military service with US Army PATRIOT system
  • Understanding of defense design / planning process
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, DOORS
  • Existing DoD Security Clearance

Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics or related discipline.

This position can be Salary Grade G08 or G09 based on the candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
