Accounts Receivable Clerk

Kforce is hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk for a multi-billion-dollar food and beverage manufacturing company for their Palmer, Massachusetts (MA) office. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will report directly to the Controller and will have the opportunity for growth and advancement within the company. Job Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Clerk:

  • Process Orders
  • Process Credits – Walmart and Marketing
  • Answer phone – Operator
  • Process ACHs
  • Create new ACH templates
  • Prepare aging AR Report
  • Contact customers ref. past due payments
  • Post Payments
  • Setup new customers
  • Do credit checks – via D&B
  • Complete credit reference documentation
  • Maintain web order portal ref. new customers
  • Train new customers ref. portal
  • Prepare DAR
  • Submit DAR and Sales Reports
  • Print Invoices
  • Disseminate Invoices to customers
  • Review pricing and pallet for accuracy ref. orders
  • Forward orders and or PIC sheet list to Shipping
  • Review Production Log for customer orders- ref, planning
  • Process all bills related to Co-Packers
  • Complete Co- Pack reconciliation Log
  • File Invoices
  • Reverse Intercompany Transactions
  • Prepare Month End Reports- AR Roll Forwards
  • Perform AR review
  • Import Data Exchange Orders
  • Review/Clear – Order hold list
  • Modify Item Sku’s, Place Items on Hold/OOS
  • Price Increases – Notifications as instructed
  • Customer Notifications

Job Requirements:


  • Associate degree preferred
  • 5 years of food distribution/DSD experience preferred
  • 5 years of risk management experience
  • At least 3 years Corporate Controllership experience
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Knowledge of AR accounting
  • Knowledge of EDI
  • Experienced in Customer Service
  • Familiar with advanced Excel functionality
  • Knowledge of ERP and WMS systems and experience with implementing ERP systems
