The Role: n nThis newly created role is an exciting opportunity to be an important part of a growing legal team.

The Corporate Counsel, Discovery & Research is responsible for providing pragmatic, business-minded legal solutions for platform and pipeline research projects, drafting and negotiating related contracts in compliance with policies and procedures, and helping research teams meet their objectives with research collaborators.

This position will report to the SVP & Deputy General Counsel, and is in Cambridge, MA.n n Here’s What You’ll Do: n Negotiate and draft a variety of R&D agreements required to execute on “GO BIG” ID plans, Moderna X, platform research, etc.

Manage contract workflow from intake to obtaining signatures, and provide contract lifecycle support to internal stakeholders Build strong cross-functional relationships with colleagues in R&D, Tech Ops, and other client groups to create efficient and effective processes Perform analysis on legal rights, obligations, and strategies, to help the Company achieve its commercial goals and objectives Proactively coordinate with the legal team to contribute to and to stay informed of global pharmaceutical laws and regulations Provide legal support for US Tech Ops group Assist the SVP & Deputy General Counsel Global on other legal projects as needed n n Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table: n J.D.

from an accredited law school; admitted into practice and in good standing Significant experience drafting and negotiating the full gamut of contracts related to research and development in the life sciences industry is required, ideally in both a law firm setting and as a member of a legal department in a pharmaceutical/biotech company.
