Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses is looking for an energetic, hard-working individual to work in their warehouse Furniture Receiving, Pulling & Customer Pick-Up Department.

This position is key to ensure Cardi’s WOW customer satisfaction by ensuring furniture is both received & pulled correctly, properly wrapped and that customer pick-ups are processed with the highest level of customer service.Pay: $17.00 / hrJOB SUMMARYPrimary purpose is to win each day by delivering extraordinary service and value to each customer, every day.

A Warehouse Furniture Receiving Associate is responsible for producing favorable outcomes for all customers, fellow team members, the company and the communities we serve.Responsible for warehouse functions of receiving, unloading, inspecting, scanning and tagging, and storing of product while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions and adhering to all company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.+ Receives product coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately, promptly and safely by utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages.o Physically unloads product from trailer into the warehouse using hands or appropriate machinery.o Verifies the quantity and description of product received by checking merchandise against the receiving label.o Inspects incoming shipments, rejects damaged items and appropriately reports / records any damages through appropriate channels.o Attaches identifying labels to product.o Safely loads the product to a stock picker and, operating the stock picker, transports the product to storing location (rack) in the warehouse.o Safely and accurately places the product in an assigned warehouse storing location.o Scans the product label and rack location label to company’s computer operating system using Radio Frequency inventory control equipment, i.e.

bar-coding equipment, handheld device.o Distributes supplies and other non-warehouse product to appropriate department/personnel.+ Assists in investigation and resolution of distribution and shipping inquiries and complaints from manufacturer vendors, freight companies, stores and customers.+ Answers incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner; direct callers to the appropriate person or take accurate messages as needed.+ Reports promptly errors found to management and assists, if necessary, in resolving the errors.+ Provides feedback to management for possible improvements.+ Assists with training and development of other associates, including on-the-job training for new associates.+ Participates in training sessions, which will improve and reinforce own knowledge and skills.+ Attend department / company meetings as required.+ Maintains a safe working environment by keeping racks, aisles and work areas organized and clean and conducts walk around safety checks.+ Adheres to company safety policy by conducting operations in a manner that promotes safety, such as using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times required, operating manual and mechanical equipment in a safe manner, operating the cardboard and garbage compactor in a safe manner, un-boxing using a utility knife in a safe manner, adhering to safe lifting techniques, and following proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors.+ Responsibilities+ Physically unloads product from trailer into the warehouse using hands or appropriate machinery, verifying quantity and description of item being received against the receiving label.+ Inspects incoming shipments, rejects damaged items and appropriately reports / records any damages through appropriate channels.+ Pulls merchandise from inventory for customer orders being picked up by the customer or being delivered to the customers’ homes in an orderly, accurate, timely and safe manner.+ Loading of Furniture and accessories in customer vehicles.+ Scans, picks, pulls and re-wraps and puts away product utilizing proper material handling techniques and equipment to minimize damages.+ Operates manual and mechanical equipment, such as dollies and/or hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner to move or hoist product to proper area/location.+ Complies with all applicable company health, safety and quality standards and policies, procedures, rules and regulations.+ Commitment to Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses safety policies and procedures.+ Models company image and culture through positive attitude, spirit of cooperation, appearance and respect for company policies and procedures on every aspect of role functions.+ Perform other functions as needed and requiredMANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no management / supervisory responsibilities.Required SkillsRequirements+ Safely lift furniture merchandise while elevate on warehouse equipment at heights of 30-40 feet above the ground.+ Lift, move, push and pull furniture up to and in excess of 110 pounds.+ Physically able to be on your feet and move throughout the warehouse over an 8-12 hour work day.+ Ability to work well with others and function in a team environment.+ Excellent listening skills+ Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously+ Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders to picking labels.+ Ability to maintain emotional composure in a warehouse setting with customers, peers and management.Required ExperienceEducation/Certification/LicensureHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.

Valid driver’s license required, stock picker certification helpful but not required since will train and certify in house.ExperiencePrior related experience and or training preferred but not required.
