Grounds WorkerPrivate school North of Boston is looking for an EXPERIENCED full time weekday employee with extensive plowing experience.

Click apply to email resume.A groundskeeper provides care to campus landscape, assists with snow removal andice control, and assists with set-ups for special events.

Specific responsibilitiesinclude collecting and removing trash as needed, keeping all drainage systems,including building gutters clear of debris, operating the lawn sprinkler system,keeping plants and trees watered, fertilizing lawns, plants and trees, and controllingpests.

Expectations for Groundskeepers include but are not limited to the following duties:
– Mow, rake, weed, sweep, prune, mulch, remove trash, leaves, and brush, plantflowers, bushes and trees, dig trenches, work from ladders and install landscapetimbers and paths
– Operate heavy equipment including lawn mowers, snow blowers, tractors, plowsand leaf suckers; lift heavy machinery such as lawn mowers, snow blowers and leafblowers; occasionally lift trash bags, mulch and machinery in excess of 100 pounds
– Report building repairs and safety issues to the campus maintenance person or theGrounds Supervisor; occasionally work overtimeQUALIFICATIONS:
– Follow directions, enjoy working with people, maintain a positive attitude,recognize and acknowledge the special demands of working in a school communitywith a focused mission
– Be physically able to lift, bend, stoop, reach, climb, work on hands and knees, beexposed to dust and fumes and be able to work outdoors in hot and coldtemperatures, be able to move heavy furniture and equipment, and climb and workfrom ladders, be able to drive a truck
– Be available for occasional work beyond the typical workday
– Meet medical examination standards with approval from a medical doctor toperform the needed tasks, acquire CPR and First Aid certification; present asatisfactory CORI report with no criminal infractions; possess or be willing toacquire hoisters license to operate a tractor and skid steerEDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:High School / Vocational School diploma or successful equivalency exam
