Job Details
Research and Development, Building Test Fixtures, Prototypes and various Shop Projects, Repairs and Improvements
Dryer and Component Assembly
Occasionally assist with the inspection process of dryers and components assuring the assembly is in compliance with current UL, CSA, and CE standards Assist with the analyzing and report on component and product performance recommending appropriate corrective action when necessary When necessary help compose and maintain all necessary technical documents
Engineering Activities
Maintain and update drawings for all dryer assemblies and components Update and maintain all certifications (UL, CE, CSA,) etc.

Aid in the product submittal process to all certification bodies Develop prototype and special units as needed for internal or field testing in both metal and plastic Produce 2 dimensional drawings as needed Provide engineering support to all manufacturing depts.

Using Solidworks provide 3-D models of current and new products, components, equipment, test fixtures and tooling.

Design and build custom test equipment when needed To assist customers with trouble shooting support when necessary To work with the Director of Engineering / R&D and V.P.

of Operations on other R&D and manufacturing projects as necessary To work with the V.P.

of Operations, Production Managers and the Materials Manager to continually improve as well as do periodic quality checks on all parts received from our vendors
Engineering Testing Duties
Collect dryer data such as velocity, temperature, sound, flow and vibration Compile data and provide supporting calculations for collected dryer data Calculate flow, heat transfer, various material strengths on the many materials used in the production of Excel Dryer models Test and evaluate motors both old and new for life span, balance, sound, efficiency and overall quality.

Any other testing as required
Machinery and Equipment
Ability to safely operate various equipment such as milling machines, lathes, drill presses and other power equipment necessary to build prototypes and test equipment The ability to operate sound, speed, optic sensor, humidistat and other test equipment as necessary.
