Veterinary Technician – Phone Liaison

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to act as a Phone Liaison at our hospital in Woburn, MA.

The Vet Tech Phone Triage will be responsible for educating pet owners and providing verified pet care information over the phone. They will utilize technical training knowledge, Ethos documentation, and L&D resources to appropriately and accurately respond to a variety of pet health questions.

The Vet Tech Phone Triage will not diagnose, prescribe or offer prognosis for any patient and will act in alignment with Ethos’ philosophy and recommendation of having every pet examined by a veterinarian.


  • Actively guide and accurately answer questions from clients regarding pet health
  • Use Ethos and veterinary accredited published information to educate pet owners and discuss general pet health questions over the phone
  • Enter accurate and timely documentation in the HIS including patient and owner name, address, phone number and summary of conversations
  • Collaborate with Ethos veterinarians and technicians as needed

Skills And Experience

  • BS in Biology, Veterinary Technology or Animal Science preferred
  • Must possess 3-5 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in an emergency or specialty practice
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills and a desire to speak with pet owners about their pet’s health and well-being
