Overview Assists guests in getting on and off of chairlifts by operating ski lift including inspection and testing beforeopening.

Must be energetic, outgoing and able to interact withguests in a friendly and fun manner.

As a customer focusedorganization, a crucial part of each employees’ job is to get andkeep guests.

Responsibilities Under the supervision of the LiftOperations Supervisor or his/her assistants, operates the assignedlift in accordance with standard procedures and written or verbalinstructions to provide safe, quality uphill transportation forguests and employees.

Assists with the shoveling and raking of snowand ice on a regular basis to maintain proper ramps, corrals andwork areas.

Assists with the inspection of the lift prior tooperations start up, which includes emptying trash containers,continually checking the status of marker information boards,tissue dispensers, assisting in the daily checking of switches,chairs, grips and maintaining of ramps and corrals.

Must becomefamiliar with the area (lifts and trails) and also know thefunctions of other departments.

Advises and assists guests asneeded in a courteous manner.

Must become familiar with resort’spolicies, safety policies and guest service expectations.Communicates problems to superiors, while showing initiative inhandling routine matters and emergencies.

Continually remainsvigilant to the needs of both the equipment and the guests andreacts to those needs in the safest manner while maintainingquality service.

Contribute to team effort by participating in JobSharing, assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resortand safety of guests and employees; participating in safetymeetings; accepting diverse assignments; maintain a positive andfriendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and externalinteractions.

Meet service level objectives and department goals asset forth by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications To perform thisjob successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential duty satisfactorily.

High school diploma or generaleducation degree (GED); or one to three months related experienceand/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience.
