job summary:

Direct hire role north of Boston. Data Analyst position focusing on automating process, data mining and analysis and reporting. The Data Analyst will support management providing analysis and reporting to assist them in their decision making process.

Great opportunity for a motivated, process driven Analyst who enjoys working with large data sets, developing complex reports and recommending solutions / reports. This will be an impact role where the Analyst will be counted on to interpret complex data into usable intelligence for leadership.

The ideal candidate will have strong systems experience and reporting skills (SQL, Access, Power BI, etc).

Must be local to Greater Boston area.

responsibilities:

The Data Analyst will be responsible for:

• Scrape data reports
• Extract KPI reports from SQL
• Review financial statements and other data analyzing performance and recommend areas for improvement
• Analyze revenue and expenses to ensure accuracy, forecast performance
• Performing revenue analysis and look for, report trends
• Variance Analysis
• Review product margins, look for areas to reduce costs
• Streamline processes
• Develop financial models to support management in their decision
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed; recommend improvements
• Review complex reconciliations to ensure accuracy

qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• BS in Accounting or finance
• 2 years of relevant skills
• PowerBI
• Advanced Excel
• SQL
• Strong communication skills
• Able to manipulate data
• Ability to gather, analyze and concisely report financial info
