Facility Custodian

Description:
The Facility Custodian will help maintain and care for the Headquarters of 88 Acres Foods Inc. The ideal candidate would be a person who is careful and thorough in their work, cleaning and tidying the premises with great care and an eye for detail. The janitor will be a key member of the sanitation team, providing a safe and hygienic environment for our employees. The Facility Custodian will work at our main headquarters in Canton MA, hours are from 4pm-12am.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS

• Performs various custodial duties in the main office areas such as sanitizing, cleaning, vacuuming mopping, scrubbing, dusting furniture, equipment moving, etc. required to maintain a clean and safe environment following established practices and procedures.
• Tends to restrooms including cleaning and refilling supplies, and removing trash.
• Tends to the break room including cleaning, refilling supplies, removing trash and maintaining the fridge.
• Wash windows, mirrors, glass, and other surfaces.
• Dust and cleans furniture, equipment, sills, ledges, heating grills, ventilation units, walls,
• Inspect interior and exterior for building damage, picks up trash from exterior of the building
• Informs management of any issues needing attention or maintenance
• Maintains inventory of breakroom and bathroom supplies and maintains other paperwork related to duties. Reports ordering needs to management.
• Works congenitally with all building personnel, visitors, co-workers, superiors, etc.
• Maintains a safe work environment, and observes all safety rules of the facility at all times.
• Performs other similar/related duties as required or requested.

Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Ability to follow work instructions and chemical labels
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks and manage several projects simultaneously
• Ability to accurately fill out checklists related to duties.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Custodial or sanitation experience is preferred but not required
• Punctuality and reliability is required, honesty and excellent work ethic
• Superb attention to detail, ability to solve problems independently
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Schedule: Monday-Friday: 4pm-12am
• Continual standing and walking during shift.
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift.
• Frequent operation of light-duty machinery (i.e. floor scrubber)
• Frequent work with sanitation chemicals
• Wearing protective equipment (such as nitrile gloves) per OSHA regulations, is required
• Occasional exposure to outside conditions
• Occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift.
• Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
