Helpdesk and Information Specialist

Foxborough Public Schools

This is a Full-time position in Foxborough, MA posted November 22, 2021.

Requirements:

1.

Must be able to self-initiate and follow through on tasks while managing multiple priorities

2.

Robust knowledge of computer hardware, networking, software, databases, and web & cloud technologies

3.

Strong communication and writing skills (in-person, phone, written, email, chat, etc.)

4.

Demonstrated ability to install, troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software

5.

Experience managing users and devices with Windows, M365, SCCM & Intune and Azure Active Directory & Cloud

6.

Previous experience with helpdesk CRM and support process management & administration

7.

Associates Degree in Information Technology, Bachelors degree preferred.

A+ Certification and three years of experience in user support or other technical certifications and five years of related experience.

Experience with CRM, municipal software solutions, and student data and information systems desired.

Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Foxborough Public Schools may deem appropriate and acceptable

8.

Must attain Self Maintainer program certification within three months of employment

Reports to: Director of Technology

Responsibilities:

1.

Coordinate technology onboarding and end-user support processes, document and classify requests, detect trends and share solutions with team members and end-users

2.

Provide high-quality customer service and technical support

3.

Install, repair, and troubleshoot various hardware solutions and software applications

4.

Educate users in basic computer operations, business productivity software

5.

Develop and distribute FAQ and support documentation to minimize and resolve requests

6.

Analyze and administer system upgrades, software patches, and backup systems

7.

Assist with the administration and operation of School & Town data systems

8.

Monitor IT infrastructure and respond to unplanned incidents

9.

Maintain hardware & software inventories and assist with ordering of repair parts and supplies

10.

Process hardware and software warranty claims with equipment and software providers

11.

Assist with the implementation and development of technology plans, policies, and procedures

12.

Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Technology
