Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated software; driving performance analysis and optimization across the MATLAB platform; developing methods and tools to measure and improve performance and scalability for key workflows, such as MATLAB startup, client-server solutions using the MATLAB Production Server, core language, and AI workflows; driving the performance strategy for key workflows; gathering performance requirements; designing and implementing performance and scalability frameworks; and collaborating with product teams to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.

 

Special Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise adapting research on deep learning and computer vision algorithms into product prototypes in C++ and MATLAB.
  • Demonstrated expertise in development and technical support of computer vision and image processing applications and systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise programming in C/C++ and MATLAB; and developing and prototyping image classification/processing algorithms in MATLAB or Python.
  • Demonstrated expertise applying statistical methods — linear algebra, probability, and mathematical optimization — and machine learning methods — classification and regression — to build statistical tools and machine learning applications.
