This will be a senior role reporting to the Head of the Liquidity Client Group (LCG) & Solutions with a focus on developing and delivering against major initiatives to grow the practice.   

The LCG practice is focused on meeting the needs of institutional client’s liquidity objectives for both immediate cash needs and for more strategic cash objectives. This broad set of needs requires a diverse platform and deep expertise to meet the specific goals of clients by utilizing various investment teams and capabilities. 

In addition to our robust liquidity platform, Wells Fargo Asset Management has invested significantly in building out an industry leading solutions capability to address both retail and institutional investors. This platform leverages both captive portfolio teams and external structures to optimize investment outcomes. This individual will work closely with the sales teams, solutions development team, and product specialists to develop a go to market strategy and help drive increased adoption of the platform. 

In addition to the tactical requirements of growing the practice in the near term, this individual will be involved in the strategic planning process for the LCG & Solutions team. As such, this role relies heavily on exerting influence and collaborating with stakeholders from across WFAM while also leveraging deep industry knowledge to propose, finalize and execute on the LCG strategic plan.  

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of investment management experience

Desired Qualifications

  • FINRA registration including Series 7 and 63 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • A Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 10 years of financial services professional experience in the investments space (Asset and Wealth Management) in product, strategy, and/or client relationship management
  • Functional knowledge of investment strategies, product structures, and operational/regulatory requirements within the asset management industry
  • Proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives at a large asset and wealth management institution
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization and demonstrated experience working with senior executives 
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Familiarity and experience with financial analysis and developing business cases to support various initiatives (organic growth, acquisitions, etc.) 
  • Ability to effectively interact and develop trust with both internal and external partners
     

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
