Sous Chef

The Pearl Nantucket Island

This is a Contract position in Nantucket, MA posted April 28, 2021.

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for culinary excellence and a keen eye for detail. You will assist the Executive Chef in providing exceptional food quality and presentation. 



  • Oversee and assist the team in all aspects of mise-en-place and service
  • Ability to execute and train team on all stations
  • Evaluate and properly maintain inventory to ensure consistent quality standards
  • Establish and maintain health codes, maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment


  • 2+ years’ of culinary or kitchen experience
  • Serve-safe certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Collaborative & creative in approach to culinary development
  • Passion, knowledge and interest in Asian culinary techniques, cuisines and flavor profiles
