The (SDR) will be charged with identifying and generating business development opportunities through both inbound and, more frequently, through outbound calling activities as well as online outreach and event cultivation.

Specifically the SDR will be responsible for securing meetings and qualifying leads for the Business Development professionals; understanding how to assess a company’s needs and cater the outreach to each prospect specifically; and acting as the firsttouch point for prospects.

This position has the opportunity to set the tone for the ensuing business development cycle and as such is a key member of our BD team.Key Responsibilities:* Identify and qualify new business development opportunities for Babson’s Executive Education custom and open enrollment programs through daily outreach via phone and online.* Engage prospects to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities, and develop possible account intelligence.* Work with dedicated BD representatives to identify ongoing strategic targets.* Set appointments for BD team when a lead reaches a qualified stage.* Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with a BD representative.* Develop and execute a cold calling plan around strategic targets.* Demonstrate the value of our offerings through phone calls, email, LinkedIn and other social mediums.* Research target companies and prepare executive summaries to help BD representatives be informed ahead of their calls/meetings.* Diligently update SalesForce, our CRM, to stay current on leads and follow-ups.* Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars, set meetings for conferences, and represent Babson at Babson sponsored events (working the booths etc.).* Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on the development of an integrated and strategic sales approach (end to end).* Shadow Business Development Directors/Senior Directors in meetings and other activities to help acquire increased skills.* Assumes additional responsibilities as required.Education Requirements:Minimum Level of Education Required Bachelor’s DegreePosition Knowledge/Skills & Abilities Requirements:* At least 1-3 years of professional work experience in sales, marketing, or business development support roles* Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills which includes being an excellent writer, speaker, and listener* Ability to take risks including being on the phone with new people every single day to explain Babson Executive Education’s value proposition as it relates to the specific individual that is being spoken to; ability to initiate relaxed but informative two-way phone conversations with prospects* Ability to be flexible in an environment that is rapidly changing* Ability to become an informed and trusted guide on Babson’s programs in a matter of weeks, and the curiosity to keep learning about all its intricacies for the future* Ability to interface with a variety of constituencies including clients and prospective clients, managers, team members, students, temporary employees, faculty, trustees, vendors, and alumni requiring sensitivity, diplomacy, and cooperation in all interactions* Ability to be creative and think out-of-the-box and be highly self-motivated* Must have strong teamwork skills as well as a strong commitment to customer service* Must have advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook/Calendar)* Must have advanced skills in PowerPoint, including the ability to design professional slides in PowerPoint; significant experience and expertise in presentation design tools* Must have strong commitment to maintaining consistency and quality of materials* Must have excellent attention to detail; ability to proofread and take ownership for work assigned* Envisions and proposes new methods to perform tasks that support ET& A; takes thoughtfulrisks; and accepts new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results* Anticipates and embraces change; demonstrates willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions* Ability to manage multiple tasks and to meet client deadlinesWorking Conditions:Ability to be flexible with hours; some early mornings or evening work may be required.Additional Experience, Skills & Abilities:* Knowledge of graphic design and in particular the Adobe creative suite (e.G.
