Job Title: Facility ManagerSummaryAbsorption Systems Boston, a Pharmaron Company, is seeking a dependable hands-on facilities manager to oversee day-to-day operations at our new office/laboratory building.

Someone who has a building maintenance background, and/or familiar with bioanalytical laboratory environment and equipment; is preferred.Primary Responsibilities Include: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Supervises day-to-day operations, cleaning, maintenance, and alteration of office areas and office equipment including lab-related equipment, generators, as well as layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of office facilities.Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed.

Ensuring that facilities meet compliance standards and government regulationsScheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendorsAnswers the door and phone.

Receive incoming packages and notify recipients or deliver to recipients.Purchasing responsibilities include office and general lab (not study-specific) supplies.

Maintain paperwork for shipping & FedExEnsures equipment calibration is performed by outside vendors.Management of IT and vendor issues.Planning for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming needs and requirementsEnsuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionalsCollaborating with building owners and upper management on budgeting for facilities needsAny other related task/function requested by Management.Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office and laboratory environment.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands tofinger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.Required Education and ExperienceAt least 3-5 years of laboratory facility management experience.Advanced mechanical skills and knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, and other building systemsProficiency with repair tools and techniquesProficiency with organizing and prioritizing, attention to detail and accuracy, confidentiality, communication skills, information management skills, problem-solving skills, teamwork and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.Knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures related to cGCP, cGMP, and/or cGTP is a plus**Night and weekend availability may be required.
