Capital Campaign Director

Seeking an experienced fundraiser/leader to serve as the Capital Campaign Director at the University . This position is a key member of the advancement staff and will provide vision and direction for the university’s next capital campaign’s planning and launch. The role will also assist in the identification, cultivation, and solicitation of leadership gifts. The Capital Campaign Director will work closely with the Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement and Campaign Chairs to keep the campaign on schedule and progress with momentum. This opportunity is a part-time, temporary position averaging 18 hours per week. The term of the job will be one year, which may be extended. Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in the planning and oversight of the capital campaign Assist in soliciting a feasibility study consultant and overseeing the process Develop campaign plans and strategy Assist in identifying campaign priorities Campaign communications Create cases for support and solicitation proposals Recommend and develop campaign-related content and materials Major and leadership gifts Assist in prospect identification, cultivation, and solicitation of leadership donors Work collaboratively with major gift staff Manage prospect lists and establish solicitation priorities Manage campaign committees Assist with campaign progress reporting and revise monthly metrics to ensure campaign goals are achieved Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years of progressive fundraising experience, including management and oversight of successful capital campaigns; Master’s preferred Higher education fundraising experience preferred Proven track record of soliciting and securing 7- and 8-figure gifts and pledges Sensitivity to confidential information and commitment to the highest level of integrity when exercising discretionary judgment Excellent development writing and editing skills Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and strategic Ability to inspire a diverse array of stakeholders, including donors, faculty, and staff
