You will focus on key projects and advancement of initiatives specific to departmental systems, processes, and operating practices. Works closely with Director of Marketing Operations to define and implement Global Marketing’s short and long-term operations strategy.Principal Responsibilities* Lead cross-functional teams in the employment of improvements-setting expectations, challenging assumptions, clearing obstacles, and securing resources for projects across Global Marketing. Knowledge of primary tasks and processes in each group is required.* Partner with Global Marketing colleagues to understand and translate business requirements into operational advancements in order to support efficient, effective marketing planning and program execution (deliverables, workflows improvements and resourcing streamlined project processes).* Act as primary business partner and collaborate with Global Technology and Investment Operations (GTIO), Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, HR, Vendor Management, Finance and other functional areas across MFS to drive key initiatives to completion for Global Marketing.* Conduct periodic assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of workgroups, functions, processes and operating practices; proactively recommend improvements, managing the end-to-end execution of approved ideas across all of Global Marketing.* Communicate marketing departmental procedures, driving consistency of implementation and compliance with all prescribed practices. Ensure that all Global Marketing procedures are clearly defined, documented and meet the required standards (e.g. Diva procedures).* Leverage understanding of the industry at large and MFS in particular to recommend ways that Global Marketing can respond to market opportunities with increased timeliness and effectiveness.* Lead training specific to operational enhancements, workflow improvements, systems and/or technology updates implemented on behalf of individuals/workgroups across Global Marketing. Keep pace with marketing operations innovations, systems and platforms outside of MFS; bring new thinking and approaches to bear in recommending and implementing improvements for Global Marketing.* Prepare various reports and updates periodically provided to senior management and other interested parties.* Lead Key Stakeholder Groups, working in conjunction with Global Information Technology (GIT) Agile Teams to create business requirements driving to implement and deploy strategic technology initiatives within Global Marketing and across MFS.Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field combined with 7+ years of experience- preferably supporting operations across multiple channels/workgroups within an advertising or marketing organization.* Demonstrated success with process development and mapping, using that information to inform the procurement and/or development of automated tools and systems.* Ability to analyze and make recommendations that improve department performance, including process enhancements, resource assignments and implementation of tools and technology.* Excellent project management skills, utilizing a project management methodology that has resulted in the completion of projects successfully.* Ability to lead multiple, complex initiatives, partnering effectively with colleagues at all levels to design and implement processes in a timely manner and practices that enhance cross-functional team performance.* Collaborative problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; solid organizational skills and detail orientation with a drive to continuously improve.* Excellent, proven communication (written and verbal) and relationship management skills; strong presentation skills with ability to articulate concepts and influence decision-making.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office as well as Adobe Creative Cloud; basic knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager; and experience with automated workflow systems is preferred.#LI-PA1If any applicant is unable to complete an application or respond to a job opening because of a disability, please contact MFS at 617-954-5000 or email talent_acquisition@mfs.com for assistance.MFS is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer and it is our policy to not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by federal, state or local laws.
