RN Lead Charge Coordinator (Supervisor) – Emergency

This is a Contract position in Randolph, MA posted November 22, 2021.

Schedule: Full-time, Exempt, 40 hours a week Job Summary Under the immediate supervision of the Emergency Services Team Leader and other designated management, performs first line management of operations within the Emergency Services outpatient care department.

Includes decisions concerning nursing practices, planning, staffing disciplining, evaluation, problem solving as well as any other management tasks as assigned.

Provides direct patient care according to unit needs.

EMS Liaison: Serves as a liaison and fosters a relationship between local and regional EMS providers, EMS personnel, emergency medical facilities personnel, and Dupont Hospital.

Represents Dupont Hospital at local and regional EMS meetings and conferences.

Conducts hospital satisfaction surveys with EMS providers.

Provides EMS educational offerings.

Completes EMS chart audits and reviews.

Chest Pain Coordinator: Responsible for coordination of quality nursing care of chest pain patients; assists medical director with administration of chest pain services collaboration with subspecialties, medical teams, and ancillary services to ensure comprehensive care to all related patients.

Serves as liaison with ACC and LHN Chest Pain Coordinator.

Collaborates with Quality to understand data and how to use it to drive Performance Improvement house wide.

Coordinates community outreach programs related to chest pain.

Stroke Coordinator: In collaboration with the network, coordinators quality nursing care of stroke patients; assists with administration of stroke services in collaboration with subspecialties, medical teams and ancillary services to ensure comprehensive care to all related patients.

Serves as liaison with Stroke Care Now Network, ensuring timely quality services.

Coordinates Stroke Certification to ensure compliance with all standards.

Coordinates community outreach programs related to stroke.

Assures delivery of quality care to stroke patients.

Implements business plan and quarterly progress reports related to stroke services.

Worked on evaluation of new technology, expansion of service lines, and review of outcomes data for performance improvement.

Geriatric Coordinator: Responsible for coordination of evidence based care of the geriatric patient; assists medical director with administration of geriatric services collaboration with NICHE Coordinator.

Monitor’s NICHE Certification to ensure compliance with all standards.

Coordinates community outreach programs related to the geriatric population.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications Licensure/Certification: Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse; BCLS within 30 days of hire FEMA NIMS ICS-100/200 within 30 days of hire ACLS within 90 days of hire PALS within 90 days of hire EKG
– AACN within 90 days of hire CPI within 90 days of hire BAT/UDS within 6 months of hire Intermediate Nursing Core class within 6 months of hire STABLE within 1 year of hire NICHE-GENE certification within 1 year of hire Experience: Minimum of two years in clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting which included charge nurse or equivalent responsibilities.

Education: Registered Nursing degree from accredited program Other: Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of interdisciplinary planning, as well as nursing practice procedures, equipment utilized and in-depth knowledge of applicable regulations (refer to unit specific knowledge guidelines for those applicable to area of assignment.) Requires strong working knowledge of the normal growth, development, related behaviors, needs, comfort, and range of treatment appropriate to the age and diagnosis of patient served in order to support the provision of an individualized multidisciplinary plan of care.

– pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric Requires strong analytical and organizational skills to prepare and maintain various documentation/reports, supervise activities of staff and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Demonstrates well developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written) necessary to interact effectively with all internal and external customers.
