It helps 4 Rivers Equipment succeed by gaining new customers and promoting repeat business by consistently keeping customers informed throughout the repair process.

Assigns and provides work direction to employees in the Service Department, advises and recommends changes and improvements regarding Service Department processes to the Service Manager, and assists in the processing of repair and warranty work.

This position also ensures that repairs are done correctly and completed in a timely manner at an exceptional value.

Essential Duties Greet walk-in customers, respond to customer phone calls and inquiries.

Promotes customer loyalty and goodwill and protects dealerships image.

Advises Service Manager of all customer complaints.

Assigns jobs and work areas to employees according to their knowledge and skills.

Review all repair work orders for and accuracy and completeness in concerning parts, materials and labor, and approves the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.

Complete customer service authorizations, identify all repair needs, provide cost estimates or quotations as required Ensure the customer has sufficient credit for the work authorized – make payment arrangements as required Solicit additional service work identified by technician’s inspection and found during repair of the equipment Open and properly segment work orders, assign SPG’s or estimated repair times to work order segments Directs and assist in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians and apprentices and provides instruction and guidance as required.

Communicate job status and document all communications with customers Review invoice with customer prior to closing work order Invoice customer, internal, and warranty work Reviews department performance and personnel matters with Service Manager on a regular basis.

Other duties as assigned by Service Manager Physical Requirements Able to move on/under machines Able to move objects weighing up to 60 pounds Able to move over Agricultural sites (irregular terrain) Able to operate a motor vehicle day and night Able to sit and type for the majority of an eight-hour workday Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Strong technical background Strong communication skills – ability to write and work on routine reports and correspondence.

Knowledge on Service Department Operations and an in depth knowledge of Agricultural Equipment technology Able to multi-task Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.

Must be familiar with John Deere and Competitive products.

Previous supervisory or management experience preferred, but not required.
