Vice President, Head of Neurology and Immunology, Global Head Market Access and Pricing

This is a Contract position in Rockland, MA posted February 27, 2021.

Your role: As Vice President, Head of Neurology and Immunology (N&I), Global Head Market Access and Pricing (MAP), you lead the team that develops the global market access strategy for the N&I portfolio, from clinical development through life cycle management. Your team creates global product/indication/portfolio access strategies and pricing policies that best optimize access, reimbursement, and profitability across a diverse geographical footprint. As a member of the Global Market Access and Pricing Leadership Team, you operate as an enterprise leader, stretching beyond the confines of individual responsibility to optimize patient access for our portfolio through sustainable pricing and reimbursement strategies that bring value to Merck and society. You effectively coach, counsel, and mentor with an ability to identify opportunities for both individuals and teams to improve overall effectiveness, engagement, and quality of work.

Who you are:

Required qualifications

  • You completed a BA/BS
  • You gained 10 years of access-related experience preferably in a variety of areas, including access strategy development, payer marketing, , health economics, pricing and reimbursement, and health policy
  • You possess strong strategic skills to anticipate trends, shape the environment, respond to changes, and mitigate risks
  • You demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix environment, especially over departmental and geographical boundaries and with senior leadership
  • You are able to lead without direct authority by influencing, inspiring and motivating cross-functional and cross-geographical teams
  • You are able to travel up to 30% (domestic and international travel)

Preferred qualifications BA/BS required

  • MBA, MS, Pharm D, or other advanced degree preferred
  • Global business experience with multi-region experience is preferred
  • Proven track record of developing, coaching and mentoring talents is preferred
